A sadness akin to the night descends
Upon a distant harbor.
Where row upon row of priceless pride
Stand with head bowed low, devoid of worth.
Merchant ships dock at the pier
Oh, so many transactions!
Like statues carved of stone,
Those hurt emotions spill their grace
Beneath the blue-moon night.
The sailors cry out in wonder and awe,
Spreading mesmerized praise; yet
No crack in the stone echoes a cry.
