Silence Speaks Only To Silence Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Silence Speaks Only To Silence

Switch off your radio
It's not the noise you're hiding from
It's the inner silence you are cultivating
It's not necessary to attain any special posture
Or recite any mantras
Just open your heart
Do not try to intervene
Hold onto your ego
Bind your thoughts
And erase all traces of emotions
Just stay silent
Sometimes all you need is silence
To bandage your wounds and heal you
Undress your inner being
Submerge yourself in silence and learn to be patient
It's the door to eternity
It may take time
For the inner voice to reach your ear
But it's worth all the wait
Silence speaks
Only when your body, mind and soul is silent
Silence speaks only to silence
