Silence Is The Substance Of Pure Consciousness Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Silence Is The Substance Of Pure Consciousness

I wanted to weave a nest
Built from the purest substance of consciousness
To fulfil my dream of reaching the summit of academic excellence
I looked inside the classroom of logic
For astronomical numbers and letters
To use to construct my equation (foundation)
I went from the known world to the realm of imagination
Trying to assemble a special set of pillars
That will help erect my nest
I was not able to locate a pedestal
That was strong enough
To hold the fabric of my nest
Then I looked into the realm of the spirit
At first I saw nothing
My eyes were blind
My body, mind and spirit in turmoil
I could not see beyond myself
I was full of doubt
The rope of logic was compressing my mind
The hand of fear was holding my body down
My soul was full of hopelessness
Then I untied myself
From the seat of ego
I loosened myself
From the present reality
Undressing myself of all logic
Erasing all traces of fear
Naked of all thoughts and emotions
Submerging myself into the realm of madness (the unknown)
Then i followed the path of Light (existence)
Into the dimensionless realm of the spirit
It's here where I found true Love
My body, mind and soul dipped in the stillness of the spirit
I was totally empty of myself (no identities, attachments, expectations & accomplishments)
I was totally free from my dream
I had no fear
I was a template of hope, faith and Love
Silence was my garment
I was inside a nest
Made of the purest substance of consciousness
I was in Love with my new found home
