Silenced Sorrow Poem by Raptured Soul

Silenced Sorrow

Rating: 5.0

Thoughts of indescribable pain,
lost in a silenced heart.
Silenced but still strong,
this heart will always belong to her.

Her smile, her touch, her warmth,
this I see, I feel immensely.
Though not here, she is here
Her love imprinted on my soul.

They say time heals all wounds,
still my soul is broken, sorrowed.
Her happiness, her graceful smile,
I can only glimpse through imagination.

In a dream I saw her soul,
which mirrored that of my own.
Two souls destined to be one,
our hearts, beating, already there.

Suffering in silence my soul crying out,
restlessly in need of her touch.
She is here yet far away,
my other half, her presence my sustenance.

This inescapable pain, though real,
is but a dream, a paradox of sorts.
Waking up from a ritualized slumber,
my happiness overcoming, the love of my life, lies beside me.

Observing her beautiful sleep,
her innocence revealed.
She is what she will always be,
my answer to all unanswered questions.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This simply emerged as I was laying in bed one night. Beside my love and thought what if.... She were never beside me. I am blessed with her presence in my life.
