Silent Cry Poem by Mahlubandile Phillips

Silent Cry

Everyday every night
I go through this self torture
this agony this demise
wondering when
how I first got here
all it took was a smile a laughter

I fell, I so deep alone my capture never came
for this drowning heart
I walk with a heart full
of tears eyes filled with oceans

I claim this heart broken, I claim it
to keep it safe and it's pieces as they
are.

Looking in the mirror I see that
lover fell for and cared dearly ohh
I must have been a fool to think of
such.
