Silent Is The Night Poem by Edwina Reizer

Silent Is The Night

Silent is the night
that wraps thee in its arms.
Its darkness is a comfort
that rests your weary eyes
from daytime scenes unwise.

Silent is the night
where dreams can come alive.
The daytime scenes within them
although they seem so real
the darkness will conceal.

Silent is the night
where sounds all drift away.
The noiseless moon and stars
have appeared up in the sky
and it’s silent way up high.

Silent is the night
and I am silent too.
My head has been too noisy
and now just wants its flight
into the silence of the night.
