Silent Screams Poem by Star Sherwood

Silent Screams

My sanctuary,
Is a locked bedroom door
With a sharp razor blade
A place where i can just
Let all my thoughts fade.
My happiness,
Is what most
Would like to call pain
But its sucked me in
It's got me locked up in chains.
My emotions,
Have all become
Locked up inside
I can let them out only one way
No matter how hard i try.
My heart,
Is in tatters
Ripped up, torn apart
But it's been this way
Just right from the start
My anger,
Is intense
More intense than you know
But I try very hard
To never let it show.
My sadness,
Is deep
More intense than my anger
When i look in the mirror
All i see is a lonely stranger.
My outlet,
How i deal
With this stupid disease
I let it out through my cuts,
My cuts, my silent screams
