Silent Voices Of Lullymore. Poem by Michael Cochrane

Silent Voices Of Lullymore.

Sweeping through Allenwood hill at dusk across ploughed fields of Lullymore, passing the whitewashed gables of old cottages, the crow flies over the bogs. Arriving into the graveyard standing overlooking the footprint of St Patrick he perches on the railings. Rain pours over the mossy headstones, muddy flowers reflected in puddles lay on the flooded ground. Irish voices are silent the many rosaries sway in wind as they sleep eternally under the stars.
