Silver Stream Poem by William Bickster

Silver Stream

quicksilver stream
of trickling, glittering
liquid diamonds
splashing and dashing
past brookside bank.

giggling, gurgling swirls
of nature so pure,
they purge petty remorses
and make all cares
of the heart irrelevant.

this reminds me when i was growing up, all the bi-products of mining upstream is dumped into the river killing all fish and makes the children sick. we can't do anything we are irrelevant. thanks for reminding. md
