Silvered Hair, Golden Heart And A Diamond Jubilee Poem by Pride Young

Silvered Hair, Golden Heart And A Diamond Jubilee

Nanaji, sweet Nanaji,
You are the one,
With Silvered Hair, a Golden Heart,
And fortunately tonight, A Diamond Jubilee.
Let me tell you, what we feel,
This is our gift, and our love's seal,
So listen carefully, while I unwind the reel.

From the Children,
You are the root,
From which we all shoot,
Strong as a Father,
And Caring as a Mother,
You were both to us Dad,
A Loving kiss and an Encouraging pat.
Working forever so tirelessly,
For our little smiles, so selflessly,
With so much love, you made us grow,
For everything we wished, Never saying NO.

From the Grandchildren,
A visit to your house,
Was like cheese for a mouse,
Fun and Frolic and Love and Cousins,
These were all our Cravings.
Fulfilling our wishes that soar,
And most importantly, the FREE candy store.
I've only known one Grandfather,
And that is You,
But if all are as loving,
And have Cabinets full of sweets as Yours,
I wish, I had a Thousand more.
But, you are more loving than a Thousand ever could be,
With a Smiling face and sipping Tea.
Celebrating in our Joys,
And Caring in our Cries,
You were there when we needed you,
Like a Godfather, so true.

That'd be all for today, my friends,
But there's more to say,
And much, much more that can't be said.

And all we wish and all we pray,
(Is that) Moulding clay from sand,
And Us from Clay,
For a Thousand years more,
With us You stay,
With us You stay...
