Similar And Different

Similar and different

1.
The Leslie to Sheppard is downhill
-too steep for her shoes with high-heels
-and she runs to ward the bus-stop
-for sure works nine to five

Her hand at her elbow
-makes angle and she holds a handbag
-totally different from men; using palm and fingers

Easily read her mind
-and content on her hand
-lunchbox and some keys and…
-and of course, her makeup

They are same; girlfriends and ex-wife.

Too early and sky is grey…
-bus signals, drives out turning left
-she slows after waves do not pay
-imagine she swears, I can see her spit…
-she stops in the hell of waiting!

2.
On the Elm Street is Housing
-Toronto's main office

In front, on the road's other side,
-a doorway, looks like gate
-high about two steps

On its base, a bed is spread
-still half-sleepy, in his bag,
-bearded and weary
-visible is young man in the rags

3.
And I think, as we do
- (All of us, the artists,)
-and compare with questions
-on this man, that woman
