Sin Poem by Ahmed Elbadri

Sin

I do sin with all my heart
For there is no remedy for this ailment
This sin is found deep in my hearts core
Like lava it burns with a passion
Such a passion brought about by sight
A sight that will stun and mesmerize
I am slave to you and your demands
Like a Sandalwood tree you are my host
Without you I will fall
You have the strength to raise me or bring me down
How can such beauty have such great powers over man
No one shall believe me when I have told them who I saw
I see a goddess among queens with beauty that is blinding
A picture would not be able to capture your full light
Words would not be able to be created to describe such......
Only one poet was able to describe the feeling the burns in my heart and he even fell short
A poet that has lasted the harsh times and so did his words
'If I could write the beauty of your eyes,
And in fresh numbers number all your graces,
The age to come would say this poet lies,
Such heavenly touches ne'er touched earthly faces' - William Shakespeare
