Sitting Here, Staring At The Divine Poem by Mohammad Younus

Sitting Here, Staring At The Divine

Sitting here, staring at the divine,
Present before me, looking in my eyes.
Hoping this unseen beloved
Engages me in secret whispers—
A speech without words.
To put a smile on my face,
Unfold ancient mystery.
Motivating me
To leave this undivine world
Without a trace.

Tears of ecstasy cascading down—
No one can tell why I'm sweating
In the presence of
Divine Majesty.
You'd think I'm in hell,
No, it is Heaven.
This divine presence heals me,
No end to this light
Performing miracles within.
I stand upright
Under the divine cascade,
Drinking the water of life.
For now, death is detained,
Finally, I arise from the dead
