Sitting In The Park Poem by David Boyce

Sitting In The Park

Sitting in the park

I sit down in the park
On a summers day
Wearing summer clothing
Soaking up the rays

Lots of people playing
Children with footballs
Parents on blanket
Babies on their shawls

The park is not so busy
On this summers day
Because the grass is nice and soft
Some decide to lie

Some people come here early
Others stay ‘til dark
I really feel relaxed here
When I am sitting in the park
