Six Billion Poem by Shane Dickie

Six Billion

I wish to live in a world without war, hatred or violence,
Without prejudice, malice or greed,
I wish to live in a world where co-operation and fellowship
Is valued ahead of competition, capitalism and commerce.

This too can be your wish.
Alas, from wants to wishes we can go,
And win the hearts of millions just by pouring out our souls,
And enlist an army of peace-makers to trod our weathered soles,
Upon the once sacred ground of so long ago,
Two down - Six Billion minus two to go!
