Sky Poem by A Waltz For Zizi

Sky

Those opened eyes. I saw so much in them.
A path leading to the top of her heart.
An ocean caring not islands, but stars,
and when she closed them, I knew
she disarmed herself, letting me,
despite my fear, be conqueror over her lips.

It was like the dreams but better.
It was love, but it was also death.
It was an altar I was sacrificing my heart on.
It was the sky and I was touching it.
