Skyride Pillion Poem by Diana van den Berg

Skyride Pillion

Riding the skyways you were,
around the places where I was,
sweeping me up behind you
on your stallion
as black as night
though white as snow.

You said you were taking me
to Ever-Ever Land
where time stands still
and music plays
and gardens burst into colour
and you and I can make music
of every kind
in every way
on every day
and you did
and we do.
