Sleep



Oh Sleep! Why do you elude me?
Why do you not have mercy
On these heavy eyelids of mine?
Or on my tired Consciousness?
Or at least on the Nightmares
That hide in the recesses of my Mind,
And wait to lay siege
On my Soul's castle.
