Sleep Well My Darling One - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Goodnight and sleep well my darling one.
As I slip into bed beside you I wrap my
arms around and give you a giant kiss
to seal the day with this symbol of love
I desire so deeply to begin and end each day
with you sweet Angel I dearly miss.
Rest your head on my chest and let's sleep
peacefully feeling our hearts come together
beating as one.
I'll see you in the land of dreams where tonight
we'll lay on a blanket under the stars on a cool
and comfortable spring night.
Wrapped in a blanket in each others arms,
soothed by each other and the rushing river not far off.
Feeling warm, cozy, and full of peaceful comfort
in each others enveloping warmth and loving arms.
Soon a reality I know it my Queen so deeply loved.
Goodnight and sleep well Kira my darling one,
endless kisses and hugs with all of my loving warmth
I send to you so you'll feel peaceful and safe knowing
I'm right beside you holding you close.
Feel me smiling and watching over you always my one.
I love you deeply and will remain yours forever,
eternity is ours my sweet Angel and lover.
