Sleeping Soul Poem by Donna Lou Resurreccion

Sleeping Soul

Rating: 5.0

Wake up sleeping soul
Leave the island of your dreams
I linger beside your fancy bed
To watch the glow of your splendid morning smiles

Can't you hear my voice pleading?
My sapless vein has finally bleed
The sun has risen high above the hills
Hearty rays are slowly creeping, warming you lovely face

Have you grown so weary and tired?
Why didn't I notice those melancholic eyes?
I should have made you rest upon these futile shoulders
And spent with you more precious times
