The nights are cold when you sleep away from me
I need you here, oh can't you see
I cry out from my mind
My heart breaks everytime you leave me behind

I need you here, if only for one night
Once you're here in my arms I'll hold you tight
My skin pleads for your touch to keep me warm
I long for your comforting words that let me know I'm safe from harm

In the morning I want you to be the only one I see
You are the greatest gift God's given to me
I want to be yours, the air you breathe
All in hopes that you'll never leave

Sleeping next to you is a feeling like no other
One which confirms that you are my lover
I want to be where you are
Be it near or be it far

I pray that you will take no other
That you will be my one and only lover
The one with whom you'll not only share a bed
But the most most intimate thoughts within your head

So please my love come to me
Let us swim in these sheets which are an endless sea
Please lay beside me just once more
So that we might see what our love has in store
