Sleepy Eyes Poem by April Hester

Sleepy Eyes

Rating: 3.6

Have you ever woke up from a perfectly good sleep
Tossing and turning, can't seem to get right

With one toss of the covers and up on your feet
Maybe a nibble from something last night

Just maybe that will ease me back to sleep
A warm glass of milk should calm me down

Feeling my eyes heavy and tired indeed

I head to my room in hope of some sleep
With my tummy full and already feed

I remember to count the little white sheep
Slowly but surely. I'm drifting to.... sleeeeeep

Such a cute poem April! I love the last verse 'I remember to count the little white sheep Slowly but surely. I drifting to.... sleep', it's just adorable!
