Slicing Poem by Resa Lynn

Slicing

Slicing away trust,
bleeding out betrayal.
Lying with a smile,
making truth go stale.
Playing a deadly game,
fighting with blood and fire.
Answering to all the pain,
bowing to desire.
Clinging to the hate,
living in the fear.
Pushing far away,
everything I hold dear.
A smile on my face,
but screaming in my head.
Hoping its not to late,
praying my souls not dead.
Trying to escape,
to find a place to hide.
Or should I face myself,
its so hard to decide.
Nowhere left to run,
no one to face but me.
To decide what I want to do,
and who I want to be.
