The year that was once welcomed
Is dying tonight!
Once again the time-chariot
Is under my concern.
The new year came
With so much of blessing with it,
With so many months and days
And so many happy hours.
But underneath flourished too
Some inevitable curses indeed!
The journey was not polish at all,
Outwardly life was so praiseful
Like that of a calm and serene blue.
But inly nothing but a billowing sea!
So many ceaseless occurances
Have stamped on me.
I stood like a silent audience,
Only to witness life's endless acts.
But so happy I am!
For the year has opened
Many new dimensions before me.
For the life God has gifted me.
I must pay due esteem it deserves,
And thus live my life to the fullest
Whether the year dies or comes New year!
