Three Drops Of Tear - Poem by Priyaranjan Ojha

Three drops of tear
I shed in the morning.
My bed remained empty
My body felt oneness with the floor!
Only three drops of tear
I shed that morning!
My restful body was at peace.
My sight was fixed upon
That three drops of tear.
Suddenly came three searching ants,
Each stopped before each drop,
Then tried to quench their thirst,
But all in a sudden
They returned in different directions!
Perhaps they did not get
The taste of organic elements of water,
Perhaps they disliked
Plenty of emotions and feelings,
Abundance of pain and sadness!
In those three drops of tear
I shed that morning!
