Slowly We Die Poem by Allyson Gordon

Slowly We Die

The darkest clouds overhead
Our hearts filled with dread
The poisonous lies we were fed
Our hope lost, we wish to be dead

Every moment is heartache
All we know is fake
Our hearts begin to break
Our lives we now take

On our tears, we choke
All our promises we broke
Life is but a joke
Now death we provoke

Searching for the light
In the dark of the night
Nothing turned out right
So we give up the fight

Let out a heavy sigh
As we watch death pass by
Still and silent we lye
As slowly and painfully we die
