Slumber Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Slumber

Go forth.
Your valor
Needs redemption.
Slumber well.
She said,
In a prolix allurement.

And I pictured
Her floral dress,
Her florid scent,
Her two immense eyes
Like mazes.

I will sleep
And I will subdue
Myself in a wine-drunk
Dream where I drink
Your wine as my lips
Raw with love slur
In the inebriation.

In drunkenness,
And sobriety,
I will be enamored
To you.

As I slumber
And wallow
In saccharine dreams,
I will love you,

And whence
The cold wind stirs
To wake me up,
In the wakefulness,
I will love you
As if you were
Life
Death
Sleep
Inebriation
Sobriety
Anything
Everything.
