Small Flower Humiliated Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Small Flower Humiliated

Small flower humiliated
Tortured and sacrificed
Not overrun by the feet
But surrounded in the chill that at dusk began
Bending
Bending as workers do
Bending as sufferers
Bending in the throes of pain
In the Kingdom of Boredom.
