Smarties Poem by Anashree Nash

Smarties

Rating: 5.0

When there's a dispute;
Between you and I;
And I call you and hear,
The voice of another woman on the line;
When all I want to hear;
Is the voice of you;
I will throw away my wings,
And for that moment forget;
That I am an angel,
And for the first time;
You will see another side to me;
Not because I don't love you,
But because I love you;
More than I ever knew!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is dedicated to a friend of mine, his nick name is Smarties. Sometimes we get so angry at someone and say the most hurtful things not because the other person is not worthy, but because they actually mean more to you than you realise. He will always have a special place in my heart forever! ! ! I hope he reads this someday and knows how special he really is to me.
