Smile Poem by Saucy Elmo

Smile

Amazingly concealing,
It brings tears to people's eyes,
It hides all your fears.
It shines in the light.

Inflated cheeks,
Of a hot burning flame.
It heals all hurt,
Like a super sized band-aid.

Terrifyingly contagious,
It makes me want to sing.
As I falter sharp on the last note,
You point it out without a beat.

Impossible to find,
Sometimes hard to see.
If you look closely,
You might just see what I'm seeing.

Look through my eyes,
And see the beauty before me!
Intoxicating eyes and full lips,
It all seems, magnetically inviting.

When I held on,
You let go.
After all this time,
I think you should know:

You're not perfect.
You are unique.
There is no such thing, as one without flaws.
A prime example, is me.

Even so,
You're worth all my while.
If you can understand all these words that I'm writing down.
Then you know how I feel,
When I see you smile.
