Smile - Poem by Anastasia Rai

There may be some bad times,
but they all go away
when you throw a smile my way.
When I burst into tears
or am filled with dread
I can just cock my head
and there I see your smile.
When the ends of your mouth curve straight up
And you begin to laugh
That's the time I'm happiest at.
'Cause with you, it's my scared place
With you I feel whole.
I want you to be happy, let it shine through your soul

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I was sitting in my bedroom alone thinking of what to do and about my friend Jasmine. This is dedicated to her to make her smile. =)
