Smile Poem by Moffat Thepoet

Smile

Your smile banishes my demons away, Sometimes words fail me, I must say, But what I've been trying to convey, Is that I long to be a part of your life every day.

I promise to cherish each moment we share, To bring a smile to your face, beyond compare, Together, let's show the world that true love exists, A shining example for future souls, forever intertwined, we persist

I dream of a life spent side by side, A shoulder to lean on when the world derides, I'll be there to listen when you're feeling low, Whispering "I love you" when life's currents don't flow.

In moments of darkness, I'll hold you tight, A beacon of strength when things don't feel right, When trust in the world begins to wane, I'll be your rock, your refuge from pain.

I understand trust may be hard to give, But I only ask for a chance to live, If I falter, the blame rests solely on me, For causing any suffering to a girl as lovely as thee.

My love, my heart, my soul, and my being, I offer them all, forever agreeing, I won't abandon you and move on to another, I'll stand by your side, now and forever.
