i smiled today.
after a long time.
now i smile and i smile
and tell everyone i am happy.
my sangfroid may surprise you
but it is just that i have given the anaemic yellows of this summer
to the sunflowers.
how do i convince you
that this smile of mine
is the very hemlock i am killing myself with?
