Smiling Rose Poem by Raghurama Raju

Smiling Rose

One pleasant morning, there bloomed
A lovely rose in our front yard
As fresh and beautiful as it never seemed!
Before I came out from the
trance it caused
A little girl ran to it like a rushing wind
And pickedthe flower in a second
I wanted to shout in rage
But kept cool like a sage
The smile she sported
Looked lovelier than the rose!
