Still I Love My Wife Poem by Raghurama Raju

Still I Love My Wife

Rating: 5.0

When I am busy browsing the net
She comes and sermonizes,
"Don't behave like a college guy!
Read books like a wise man! "

I hurl my mobile in fury
And pull out a bulky book from the shelf
When I am lost in the story
She comes and complains!
"Look at that belly!
Seems like you are carrying a baby!
Why don't you go for a daily walk! "

I throw away the book in anger
And make my way to the farthest park
When I am busy walking
She rings me up and tells
" Wherever you go, you go forever!
Be home early to bring vegetables! "

When I come home with a load of greens
And tell her how playful it was
Talking to the beautiful village women!
She explodes with rage -
" Never bring vegetables in your life!
I can do it better! "

**** *** *** ***

Still, I love my lovely wife!
If I stay a minute more in the wash room
She repeats her shouts
"Are you okay? "
