Smoke On The Water Poem by David Blake

Smoke On The Water

Elegant words, practiced and rehearsed
long into the night. Tears and sorrow, eye's
with no regret yet hollow. Never saying
nothing as we danced long into the still
darkness of twilight. The windows wide open
as the gentle breeze caressed her dress as
we swayed. Dreary and drained, felling very
much to blame the smoke and rain rumbled
through me like some unseen force, as the
love of my life left without a word being spoke
