Simply Seductive Poem by David Blake

Simply Seductive

Shy shades of red and pink, fill her checks
as she smiles and turns to look away.
Having nothing to do, I stay on for awhile
trying to understand, and maybe even
pray for a vision to call my own. I dance
with the shadows on the wall, unaware
of any of any shame. Flowers in a vase
by a window softly swaying from the
breeze, draw me for a moment to a
better place. The soft tinkle of rain on the
old tin roof now the only sound as I try to
wrap my mind around all the things that
still remain unseen. Having nothing more
to say I tell her goodby.
