So Done - Poem by Rosa Lin

Hate. Anguish. Pain.
There is nothing much to gain
Sorrow. Sadness. Grief
In shock and disbelief
All those times you lied
Oh how you are despised
My hate grows for you everyday
Because of all the things you say
You drive me to the ground
I do not make a sound
Because what good is there
I do not even dare
You hit me with your words
They stab me just like swords
Your negative thoughts surround me
Embrace and engulf me
I shutter at the thought of you
You criticize all I do
Never once have you been proud of me
Never once did you ever see
All the times I tried my best
But that’s always far too less
You expect perfection
For me to be your reflection
But let me say I could never be
More like I wouldn’t want to be
You, yourself aren’t perfect
Everyone has their defect
I’d like to say I’m over it
I have finally reached my limit
