So far am from my home yet so close always my heart
So far am I cant touch or feel you’re my sweet home
For so many years I lived with you today you live in my soul
No matter where I go my success to you I credit all

There is a grief, a sorrow, an injury that can’t be healed
The empty place in the time today can’t be filled
As I live in today what I had left behind is yesterday
The way that I have walked and carved today

There are times when I think I have forgotten something today
But I know my home you will always protect me on lifes way
I have no words to express what I have left behind I may not say
But when I close my eyes I can see you all everyday

At times dropping from my eyes are a few tears
I don’t know do I call it sadness or joy
Oh I have left behind a little girl and a boy
Which is one of the precious gift I have?

When I look in today a hand that holds me tight and sound
He is the earth am the sun which rotates all days around
He is one of the best of god creation that I have found
Today leaving yesterday behind in him in have bound.
