So Hard Poem by Micheal Lambert

So Hard

It's so hard, trying to do right,
Ignoring the wrong,
Embracing that of the light,
Crushing the thoughts of that dreadful song.
It's so hard to do right.

It's so hard to walk in the path of positivity,
So hard to accept the wrongness of negativity.
It's so hard, so hard to do right.

It's so hard, yes so hard to believe in one's self.
To unleash the raging potential we strangle
From exposure on life's shelf.
It's so hard, oh so hard.

It's hard! Hard! So hard to stand up,
To stand out, to make your voice heard, not just to shout
When things around us become wavy, shaky, plagued with indifference,
Pestilence, strife and silence.
It is so hard, it is extremely hard.

Why is it so hard?
Why is it so difficult?
Why is it so challenging?
Is it that I'm hurting?
Is it that I'm misinterpreting?
Or is it…. Is it you I'm pleasing?
