So I'Ll Go On Penning Poem by Francis Duggan

One might say I've written a whole heap of stuff
Some of it uneven and some of it rough
And most of it in truth is not up to par
Just your average penman many better by far
The rhymes that I pen I cannot hope to sell
One could say I've written too much doggerel
I am many years now past my physical prime
But still I keep penning addicted to rhyme
My worth as a rhymer I always do doubt
But everyday something new to write about
Yet we never stop learning as some are known to say
And from Nature and life we do learn every day
And short in time the longest human life span
So I'll go on penning for as long as I can.
