So I'M Me......So He Is He Poem by Michelle Guza

So I'M Me......So He Is He

So i’m me ….So he is he
And we’re friends and none better that we could be
He is black and I am white
But never once was it about fight
We are tight through color and size
Through height and weight
Don’t let the color decide anyone’s fate
Just erase the thought because its just not right
Not be friends just because he’s dark in light?
I don’t think so and i’m here to say
That the color is here to stay
The color of our skin will not change and the way we look will always be there
There will be people that understand and the people that will stand and stare
You’re a guy, i’m a girl
You’re black and I’m white
People that love us can see past that
So I’m me…So he is he
What more do you want
Can you see more then color ……I know we do
I don’t care what you look like just know that ill always be here for you! ! !
