Yes, we have been on this stage
So many times before
Learning new lessons
Relearning ones forgotten
And in time to transcend
The learnt of several lifetimes
To merge and to dissolve
beyond birth or rebirth
Into this firmament divine
sans boundaries of faith
But as wide as the wind blows
And that would be heaven
That we pilgrims seek
And to that end I wish you God speed....
In Hindu philosophy (which is not about an absolute dictator like God with a concept of judgement day) we are told that it took us several lifetimes to evolve from a worm to a human being. Human beings by their actions develop karma (good/bad) and over successive life times find the moment of enlightenment and subsequent dissolution when the God in them manifests as a realization. There is a gods particle in each of us as sparks of the same divine fire and it is covered by our ego.
