So Many Shun Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

So Many Shun

Violin over a grave
A tomb playing

Hear!

We need many political parties, more than in Italy

We need as many parties as Individuals

Forget Stability; in an ever-increasing plurality of parties everything be propense to stabilize itself

Hear!

Pattering of feet
On tombs and graves
I see Spirit-Ghosts dancing
And their visages look not sad
Round and round turn they
Not as in sad array:
And the moon overhead
And from between branches smiles
And through trees shines.

These are the Souls liberated
The Souls these are
Dancing!

These be the Inner Souls pattering!

Des claquements de pieds
Sur les tombes et les tombes
Je vois des fantômes dansant
Et leurs visages ne sont pas tristes
Ils tournent en rond et en rond
Pas comme dans un tableau triste:
Et la lune au-dessus de la tête
Et entre les branches sourit
Et à travers les arbres brille.

Ah! the Inner Soul laughed
For then
The Inner Souls were laughing
Often jokes cracking.
Dancing on the tomb, the grave
Trembling not only feet
Pattering!
