(so Many) Silent Screams Poem by Rich Downes

(so Many) Silent Screams

There is so much around that's misconceiving
I still hear you in the breeze
There is only the feeling that I'm grieving
And this is probably because you're a tease

I still want to be the man that you want me to be
But in this life things tends to be so unfair
No love left to share
Full of empty lies
My heart is pulled tight
Yet to just make that vow
Only you catch me unawares

And you give me so many silent screams
I just wish you would give me a clue
So I don't think what could've been
But as a result I'm broken and don't know what to do
Deep inside I know I'm not a machine
Wanted to stick to you like glue
And you give me so many silent screams
Love won't shine on it's big debut

The motive behind every one of my desire
The motive why I long to someone so kind
The motive that tells all of my single reasons
I'm hoping one day that you will finally comprehend
Always trying to stop making such a big fuss
You always leave me without a word to say
Behind my single pray
Want to be so strong
Hate feeling so wrong
Still feeling the strain
No price yet ever to pay

And you give me so many silent screams
I just wish you would give me a clue
So I don't think what could've been
But as a result I'm broken and don't know what to do
Deep inside I know I'm not a machine
Wanted to stick to you like glue
And you give me so many silent screams
Love won't shine on it's big debut

And you give me so many silent screams
That's why I feel so blue
