So Should You Poem by Justin Kulwicki

So Should You

Last time I talked to you
You were starting to walk away
You never even looked back
As I was begging you to stay

Now here you are in front of me
Now that the other guy is gone
Trying to bring up the good times
But I’ve already moved on.

And so should you.
I don’t love you like I used to.
So should you
It’s in the past, I’m moving forward
And so should you.

I’m forgetting all the times
You left the porch light on for me.
Underneath the front mat
Is where you’d always leave the key.

You sure forgot real quick before
All the little things we’d do.
So I’m forgetting all our memories…
So should you.
