So What Poem by moon batchelder

So What

full moon sleeps behind the thunderstorm
sultry southern air is warm and heavy
never mind
a glass of absinthe to unwind

mindless drivel on the tv set
internet's no better - get a virus
spyware too.
anyway there's nothing new

feeling uninspired afraid to dream
i pray the skies erupt in lightning - something!
bring me there! !
(a silly game of truth or dare)

sometimes nothing comes to me
but this dreaded sense of entropy
i really can't complain
at least i haven't gone insane.

other times i soar the skies
no nightmares with my lullabies
i only wish there were
at times like this!
such thing's preferred.

full moon hiding in the cloud tonight
her restlessness is right there underneath
the thunders roar
who could dare to ask for more?

feel her urgings like the roaming tide
ebbing, flowing - i decide to write some
poetry.
of course what else from one like me?
