So When Will My Ship Sail Again Poem by Keonna Andrews

So When Will My Ship Sail Again

Rating: 4.5

In my life, i use so many metaphors to describe what is going on. So in this I can say that I feel like a ship, that is sailing in the sea of life.

God is my captain, and Jesus and his angels are the crew members, guiding me through.

There are times when my ship was damaged, and I had to stop sail and get repaired.

There are even times where I felt that i was not a good enough ship to sail.

But now I have come to a point on my voyage, that the captain did not design me to be of no use. I have significant purpose.

I recently was anchored, by a heavy piece of cargo, and it just kept slowing my system down, and came to a complete stop.

I asked the Captain and His crew to please help me get rid of the unnecessary cargo because I can't move.

The Captain said, this cargo is not unnecessary, my beautiful ship, you are expanding, and growing, and this cargo is not ready to grow with you. So we will not get rid of it my child. But we will keep it where it was which is in the past. Now the crew and I will make some adjustments and set sail again to the purpose of your existence.

And you know what He was right. I may be the same ship, but I have received so many upgrades that I do not function the same way.

So now I am setting sail to the purpose of my life and one day, when I get to the Land of Purpose I will make sure to say thank you to The Captain and His crew.
