Pick a raw or slightly ripe idea
Out - from the pantry in your head
Let it marinate in the mind
Till it develops a bouquet of flavours
Pour the marinade into a bowl of words
Cherry-pick only a few good ones
Sweeten to taste but don't forget zest
Add nuttiness for delightful crunch
Blend all together to make it palatable
And lay it out in distinguishable layers
That explode with spiciness and flavor
Words may go but the idea must linger
In appearance serve it with artistry
In taste it must work from young to old
In mouthfeel it must offer a bouquet
In takeaway it must deliver delight
And touch a chord in every heart!
That's when you'll just know
You've written it right
And rightened what may have been rotten.
