Soldier Poem by Violet Blackwell

Soldier

I won.
I snuck my way in
To the depths of your heart
And I changed you.
You're no longer
Confident, ambitious, brave.
Now you're
Somnolent, malicious, grave.
And you see,
I've pulled you to my side
Of the battle.
Another soldier
To fight against hope.
